In her role as an executive presentation coach, she works with her clients to clear their limiting beliefs to project more of their talent, passion and influence when they present themselves and their ideas to other.

Kathy is certified as a master practitioner in Neuro Linguistic Programming or NLP (i.e., the study of how you run your brain) and the Blind Spots executive coaching methodology. She is on the executive development team of LIMRA International, the world’s largest trade association for the financial services and insurance industry.

Kathy also serves as a moderator for ExecuNet.com on its Human Resource Executive Roundtable. She co-founded Power Up Your Professional Image, a special-events business that serves professional women and helps them to advance their careers by projecting greater confidence and executive presence.

A professional speaker, prolific writer, workshop facilitator and passionate thought-leader, Ms. McAfee motivates business people how to brand more successfully, how to present more persuasively, and how to re-invent themselves more rapidly.

A graduate of Stanford University in Economics, Kathy has held key marketing leadership positions in diverse industries with leading brands including Levi Strauss & Co., Maybelline Cosmetics, Lindemans Wines of Australia and Delicato Family Vineyards and ADVO, where she served as Vice President of Marketing Services.

Living and working in England for three years, she led European marketing initiatives for an international vision care company. Regarded as a energetic change-agent, she has successfully leveraged her diverse experiences and personal drive to bring innovation and growth to many industries.

Active in the community, she is an active member of Soroptimist International of the Americas, and a board member for the YWCA of the Hartford Region, CT.  She has earned a black belt in the martial art discipline of Tae Kwon Do and is a foster/adoptive parent to twin 13-year old boys. A native of California, she currently resides in Simsbury, Connecticut.
